ARPITA BASU
Born : 11th November, 1964
Arpits’s art is bound to the rhythms and traditions of Bengal. She completed her M.V.A. from the Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata in 1992.
Steeped in lyrical folksy beauty, her watercolours capture the idyllic rhythms of everyday life in towns, cities and villages.
She has held several shows at prominent galleries all over India and her works have been collected and archived by major art institutions, such as the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
