Born in Kolkata, he graduated from the Government College of Art and Craft, University of Calcutta in 2001. Known for his expertise in both acrylic and watercolours, his skill to project light and shadow is unparallel.

Having spent most of his life in Calcutta, his works are an homage to this beautiful city. His subject mostly revolves around the exuberant sights of Kolkata which he paints in great detail, showcasing his command on his medium, which is Watercolor. Though, all his paintings depict simplicity but a closer look will define the immense skill gone into its creation.
