Born in Kolkata, he did his schooling from St. James’ School, Kolkata; and graduated with Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts (B.F.A.) from the Indian College of Arts and Draftsmanship, Kolkata.

His multi-layered artworks offer the viewers and admirers, a glimpse of a fantastical and mesmeric world, where the subjects of his paintings are surrounded by colourful elements. The waves and patterns in his artworks contribute a facet of an airy narration to the painting, as if, the viewers are watching a still-shot of a much larger story in a canvas which unfolds itself in the dreamy world curated by him. His most known works are ‘Lady from Dreamland’ and ‘Walk in Sleep’.

His artworks are among many private collections in India and countries like France, Singapore, Malaysia, Bahrain, the UAE and the USA.
